DANCE SUPPLIES

PRESCHOOL DANCE: All preschool dancers need ballet shoes. They can be ballet shoes or slippers. 

ATTIRE: I am not picky about what the combo classes wear to class. I was a dancer that hated the feel of tights so I understand. Please dress them in clothing that allows the girls to dance freely. Most girls wear a leotard with a tutu/skirt or shorts over. I am fine with an occasional Cinderella or Ariel showing up to class, but not on a regular basis. 

ALL Combo Classes: 

Each combo dancer will need a DANCE BAG.
This does not have to be a new bag or even a dance themed bag, but it does need to be a designated dance bag.

Each dancer will need a pair of BALLET SHOES.
You can buy these up to 2 sizes big so you can save some money as she grows. We will just use the elastics and tie them down. Color does not matter, but if you have a choice, please purchase pink.

Each dancer needs a pair of TAP SHOES:
These need a tie or latch. If you get these used, you may need to put ribbons in them to tie them. Some moms sew elastic on them or use a pony tail with a ball on the end to make it easy to put on. DANCERS ARRIVE WEARING TAP SHOES WITH BALLET SHOES IN THEIR BAGS.

Look for hand-me-downs for shoes. They are sometimes at 2nd hand stores such as Goodwill. Payless Shoes always has them (look for Buy one get one off sale). My favorite online dance supply store is Discountdance.com, but shoes are difficult to fit without trying on.



HIP HOP: Dancers should be in very comfortable clothing. We will be tumbling so a tank or leotard under may help if they are conscious of bellies showing when upside down. We will be dancing and tumbling in bare feet.
